Build process of RG Unicorn Gundam Note #4

RG獨角獸高達頭及上身製作。。

頭部鏡頭，眼部，火神炮及精神感應框架光效。

RG Unicorn Gundam

Light effect on RG Unicorn Gundam Head and Chest, mainly on Camera, Eyes, Vulcan Gun and Psycho Frame.  13 x color modes setup.

Build Process

RG Unicorn Gundam - Head

1. 0402 White LED for eye and head camera, Vulcan Gun effect is build by white LED and fibre optic.
2. 7 x 0402 Common Anode RGB LEDs are used for Psycho Frame.
3. Using RGB LEDs will result to many wires to be handled.  In overall the head used up 30+ wires to build!!  Imagine if those wires were signal lines, maybe one day she will has her own mind😎
4. Face cover of unicorn mode is rebuild by plastic plate, both covers are fixed to the skeleton by strong magnets.

RG Unicorn Gundam - Head

1. 2 x Attiny85 are used for control RGB signal in the head and 1 x Attiny85 for control light effect of camera, eyes etc.  They all work as I2C slave mode.

RG Unicorn Gundam - Chest

1. For the presentation of Psycho Frame, the original plan of design is digital candle frame like but however, it still not the exact effect in the animation.  So the final version just keep them flicker and fade only.
2. Psycho frame effect is achieved by WS2812 addressable fullcolor RGB LED.
