繼續是 Gundam Artifact II ,除了恆常用 SMD LEDs 實現基本光效,音效繼續承傳,此製作亦作出新嚐試:
- 打造現時世界最小 NeoPixel 光劍製作。
- 水晶球製作,做出風沙效果。
示範影片電熱劍效果,個人喜歡部份失焦現象,因有種灼熱及海市蜃樓效果的感覺,另外火焰劍效果亦很喜歡😁。

而模型製作方面,基本刻線,無縫處理,切割以安裝零件及走線,而塗裝以紫色為主
。

Neopixel/WS2812B
個人很喜歡這個部分,可做到多種激光劍或火焰劍效果。
但是次製作最為困難的是這電熱劍,本身設計由20 棵 Neopixel/WS2812B-1010 LED 組成,需要逐棵焊接,每棵長闊均為1mm,焊接距離期望小於2mm,這個要求對於手作是極大挑戰:
- 零件細以致本身可供焊接位相對十分薄弱,容易斷開;
- 而距離太短傳熱快亦容易導致原本焊好的脫掉;
- 另外 Neopixel/WS2812B 的運作是需要前面一棵傳達號息,即是當中任何一棵壞掉的話,往後的便不能運作,因此期間出現問題的話有機會追溯前面重做甚至要推倒重做;
- 焊接期間總需要工具或手固定,多次觸摸做成大大小小物理勞損;已完成部份容易因此再次斷開。
製作方法摸索了一段長時間,多次重做才完成這20棵串聯焊接,總數大約耗了60棵。
震動馬達
雙腳及裙內安裝震動馬達,用以製作風沙翻騰效果,驅動器則用了L293D DC motor driver 再付予控制快慢及開闢。
因為想實現比較真實的風沙翻騰效果,因此整體製作成密封環境,選用水晶球製作。

Model making
In terms of model production, the basic carvings, seamless processing, cutting are used to install parts and wiring, and the painting is mainly purple.
Neopixel/WS2812B
I personally like this part very much, as it can achieve a variety of laser sword or flaming sword effects.
This heat saber is the most difficult part of this build. The design itself consists of 20 Neopixel/WS2812B-1010 LEDs. Each LED is 1mm in length and width which need to be welded one by one to build the chain. In order to optimal overall size as possible, the welding distance is expected less than 2mm between each LED. This requirement is extremely difficult for manual work. In the challenge of :
- The parts are so thin that the welding points themselves are relatively weak and easy to break;
- The distance is too short and the heat transfer is fast, which can easily cause the original welding to come off;
- Neopixel/WS2812B operation requires signal connect one by one. If any of them is broken, the subsequent WS2812B will unable to operate. Therefore, if problem occur during the build process, it may require to retrace the previous one and even have to overturn and redo all of them;
- During welding, fixed position is always required by hands or tools. While multiple touches can cause physical strain that caused those completed part easy to disconnect again.
The overall production method took long time to figure out, and it took a lot of redoing to complete the series welding of these 20 x WS2812B. In summary, total of about 60 was consumed.
Vibration Motor
Vibration motors are installed on the legs and skirt to create tumbling effect of wind and sand, and the driver uses L293D DC motor driver for start/stop speed control.
I would like to achieve a more realistic effect of churning sand, the whole environment is build into a sealed environment of crystal ball.
Crystal Ball
Baby oil is the main ingredient, and the sand comes from Sabah and Jeju Island, which brought by friends who are on vacation. XD
Electronic modification
Arduino Nano + L293D (Motor Driver) + DFPlayer (MP3 player) + DS3231 (Real Time Clock), the connection is as shown in the picture.
